I received my copy of your book yesterday in Mexico! I was surprised at how soon it arrived here. I am looking forward to diving into it. Thank you for doing the deep work of traversing the stories and learning how to carry them.
Love your words of wisdom and advice for us story carriers- who are discovering the stories deep within us about our family members. As a former psychotherapist, I can tell you that breaking off connection either symbolically or physically, does not heal any wounds that came from our family legacy. We need to know the narratives that were passed along, and learn from them to break the patterns for the next generations. This is a most important task.
I've been telling stories about my parents and their generation of Holocaust survivors since the late 70s and I think this imperative is common for us writers: to speak for those who were either silenced by others or chose silence.
Ordering my copy today Jane! Congrats!
Thank you, Mary

Thank you. Your expertise has been so valuable to me as i wrote this book.
Yes! Unsilencing our ancestors, particularly the suffering they endured, is what keeps me working so hard.
